About it
It is an exciting, brand new directory for green and ethical consumers in the Bristol and Bath area (former Avon). It follows in the footsteps of the successful Oxfordshire Green Pages and was published for the first time in Dec 2006, with new, updated editions published every year. With over 120 pages of listings and adverts and with a £4.95 cover price, it includes all aspects of green and ethical living. It’s the definitive source of information to help people in the Bristol and Bath area live the lives they want to live.
Who and why?
The Bristol & Bath edition started with Karen wanting to build a garden wall but not wanting to go to a big out of town DIY store to buy new bricks. We talked about finding a builder that used reclaimed bricks; we were sure that they must exist but found it really difficult to find one. At the same time, our friends from Oxford visited, proudly brandishing their recently published Oxfordshire Green Pages. We thought it would be great if there was a Green Pages in Bristol and Bath but, to our amazement, we realised that nothing like it exists in the area. Then the penny dropped - let’s do it ourselves! So, here we are.
